From a young age, my heart has been deeply connected to the preservation of indigenous cultures and languages. Growing up in northern New Jersey, I was exposed to the rich history and heritage of many different cultures, and it was the Lenape people that inspired my passion for this project. As I learned more about the Lenape language and culture, I became increasingly driven about to find ways to preserve and revitalize this important aspect of indigenous heritage.

However, I soon realized that the preservation of the Lenape language and culture cannot be achieved through traditional methods of education alone. I needed to find innovative ways to engage learners of all ages and backgrounds and make the Lenape language and culture accessible to a wider audience. And so, LenaLingua was born.

Our mission is to create a vibrant and supportive community that celebrates the rich history and heritage of the Lenape people. We believe that through collaboration with members of the Lenape tribe, linguists, educators, and other stakeholders, we can make the Lenape language and culture more accessible and inspire a new generation of learners to engage with this important aspect of indigenous culture. By harnessing the power of computational linguistics tools and developing interactive educational programs, we aim to bring the Lenape language to life and create a lasting legacy that will honor and preserve this incredible indigenous culture for generations to come.
